Interesting People
Links to the web sites of interesting people (in no particular order) who I have come across during my travels in the Web. Some I've had only brief communications with, others I've gotten to know a little better.
-
-
Calista Tait. Musician, costumer, World of Warcraft afficiando, artist. She drew the picture "The Maze" on the
W6 page here.
-
Jerry Whiting. Instigator ;-) of the JetCityOrange site and blog up in Seattle, WA. All kind of fun and cool stuff here from the mosquito ring tone to bar code art to some kickin' photos. A truly unique stop on your web tour.
-
Alexandra Sim-Wise. British glamour model, film reviewer. Alexandra is very sweet, friendly and intelligent person. It may surprise you to know that she has a degree in Film and American Studies from the University of East Anglia. Read a review she wrote of the film De-Lovely" at Filmfocus.co.uk.
-
Jeff Glover. Web design Guru.
-
Lauren Dart. Photographer, writer.
-
Stephen Orsillo. Photographer extraodinaire.
-
Suzanne Marie Saunders (aka Segnbora). Librarian, writer, all around interesting person.
-
Red Vamp. Gothic model. A very no-nonsense person!
-
Jeff Duntemann. Writer, educator, technologist, contrarian. We share a liking for the same 80's musical artist, Janey Street. I was able to supply him with a long lost recording a song we both love.
-
Kelly McLarnon. Wonderful computer artist with big things in store!
-
Jamie Zawinski. Former Mosaic/Netscape/Mozilla designer/engineer. Currently owner of the DNA Lounge nightclub in San Francisco. Has one of the more interesting opening pages for her web site.
-
Cliff Stoll. Astronomer, author of "Cuckoo's Egg" and "Silicon Snake Oil," maker of "Klein Bottles," all around renaissance thinker of a kind that is becomming all too rare.
-
Steve Gibson. Computer security guru, assembly language programmer, created the SpinRite hard disk data recovery, and maintenance application. Also created an old screensaver program called Chromosome, which unfortunately no longer runs under current operating systems.
-
Jessamyn West. Maintains the web site
Librarian.net among many, many other things.
-
Eve Astrid Andersson. The original "Hot Web Babe." Ran a web site dedicated to "PI," and had memorized PI to several hundred digits. Now a very successful Senior Vice President and Chair of the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Neumont University in Salt Lake City (IMHO, she is still a hot web babe ;-). See also Laura Lemay's Guide to Sizzling Web Sites.
-
Amy Ritchie. Gained fame as probably one of the youngest taxadermists around. Interesting, intelligent young woman. At age 19, she now runs a successful Taxadermy business in North Carolina.
-
Normal Bob Smith. "Mr. Irreverent." I want to be him. His web site needs to be seen to be believed. Creator of "Jesus Dress Up," the "Unholy Army of Catholic School Girls," and so much more.
-
Jillian Ann. If you frequent any of the fashion/eccentric/glam photography sites on the web, you have no doubt run across Jillian Ann. She is a very beautiful and experienced model who is also a musical and visual artist. I met her through her music. She is a VERY interesting person! Jillian Ann is also featured on my indie music page.
